Co-Parenting Services
Ask yourself…
1
Am I divorcing and need help creating a plan to share time, decision-making, and parenting with regard to my children?
2
Am I experiencing co-parenting struggles due to communication breakdown and conflict about issues concerning my children during or after my divorce?
3
Do I need help finding peace so that my family can move beyond the pain of divorce and begin a new journey?
If the answer to any of these questions is yes, then you should consider a Parenting Coordinator or Co-Parenting Counselor to help you and your partner navigate this often difficult road.
Co-Parenting Services are…
Designed to help parents during and after divorce learn to more effectively parent and co-parent. They are available to parents as an alternative to traditional adversarial legal proceedings.
The primary goal of both Parenting Coordination and Co-Parenting Counseling is to decrease conflict between parents during and after divorce and empower you to do what is best for your children. This is important because research confirms the number one predictor of a child's adjustment to divorce is the level of conflict between their parents post-divorce.
Which approach is right for me?
Parenting Coordination is a legally-defined, confidential process that requires a court order. It maintains your privacy and provides an environment where you can work to improve your relationship without the fear of your information or details being shared in a courtroom. This approach is often best for couples involved in active litigation or who are finalizing their divorce.
Co-Parenting Counseling is a voluntary, non-confidential process which could allow information to become available to couples for use in a court proceeding. It does not require a court order and can be initiated at any point in time. This approach is often best for couples who want to improve their relationship but want to preserve the option of having a professional that can testify in court.
As a Parenting Coordinator or Co-Parenting Counselor, I can help you…
Talk to your children about your divorce
Develop and implement parenting plans customized for your family
Develop better communication and conflict resolution skills
Learn more effective problem solving skills
Identify specific issues in dispute or conflict and create useful, workable and durable solutions
